Members of the Gymnastics of York team had an outstanding showing at the 2007 USAGIC National Championships in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. The competition started on Friday June 22 and finished up on Wednesday June 27. The girls competed in 3 different levels, ranging from Bronze to Gold, with All-Around winners and Event Finalists in all those levels. In the Gold Division ages 9 to 11; Marin Grabill placed 7th on Bars; in the age division 12 to 14; Aubree Horn was 4th All-Around, 9th on Vault, 4th on Bars, 2nd on Bars and 7th on Floor; and in the 15 and up age division Amy Feathers was the All-Around Champion as well as 2nd on Vault, 7th on Bars, 4th on Beam and 2nd on Floor. In the Silver Division; ages 16 and up Melissa Sechrist was 6th on Vault and 2nd on Bars. In the Bronze Division 11 yr olds; Taylor Daugherty was 7th All-Around as well as 4th on Vault and 9th on Floor; Whitney Ashley placed 7th on Vault and 8th on Bars and Kacey Werner was 10th All-Around as well as 2nd on Vault, 10th on Bars and 7th on Floor. The Team did well as a whole also, with the Gold Team placing 5th and the Bronze Team placing 8th.
